Quality, Performance and Lightweight Technology Combine for Ultimate BMW Package

RSRCITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., May 18, 2015 – RSR (Road, Street, Race) wheels – the first luxury marque entering the MKW family of wheels – takes its newest offering, the 800 Series flow form wheel, to Bimmerfest 2015 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., on Saturday, May 23rd, highlighting the VIBE Motorsports-modified M4, to be shown during the biggest BMW party in the country.

Not only is the RSR 800 Series a stunning example of a lighter weight, cast aluminum wheel, but according to Bill Koenig, executive vice president for MKW and RSR, the strength and performance of these wheels provide luxury sport vehicles like the M4 a completely new edge. “Over the past six months we’ve benefitted from the significant increase in demand for the light-weight, race-type of wheel that enthusiasts’ desire,” said Koenig.  “Our flow form wheels are generating a buzz especially within the popular BMW crowd and we’re providing a motorsport look for popular cars like the M3 and M4.”

RSR’s 800 Series in particular is the mid-range step within a higher line of wheels that the company is pursuing to benefit a luxury, yet sporty, lifestyle.  Having begun with a line of 20” wheels, which entered the market last November, larger 21” and 22” will be shown at the upcoming 2015 SEMA Show, and will be followed by RSR’s forged magnesium ‘Race’ 900 Series wheels to fit exotic car lines such as Viper, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Corvette – in 19”, 20” and 21” diameters.

RSR has partnered with Sun Valley, Calif.-based VIBE Motorsports to create a modified M4 that will be shown for the first time in the U.S. at the 2015 Bimmerfest.  VIBE tuned the M4 with an aftermarket exhaust by BORLA, providing even better horsepower and sound, and lowered the ride height for increased aerodynamics. The full set-up includes RSR’s 801 series 20”x9” and 20”x10 ½“ wheels in graphite, that highlight the mineral white metallic exterior and black leather interior.

Koenig contends that with so many wheel choices in the market, RSR wheels not only enhance the look of a vehicle, but will increase the performance of the car.  RSR has a strong engineering and design pedigree with more than 21 years of experience in designing and manufacturing high performance wheels.  “We utilize advanced materials and the latest manufacturing technology in an effort to provide higher-end, yet cost-efficient products for the enthusiast and motorsport community,” said Koenig.

RSR will be bringing both street and race versions to market with three different construction levels that offer the ability for a staggered set-up and include cast wheels with high-end finishing.  RSR lines include:

·        Road -- boasting today’s hottest designs, allowing for big brake upgrades and larger brake calipers;

·        Street – an upgrade in both lifestyle and design – offers a mid-range face that will come standard for street design;

·       Race – higher technology, lighter weight, forged aluminum and custom-built wheel -- sports a deeper face profile that works well with rear wheels; utilizes a flow-form manufacturing technique that takes a cast aluminum wheel and lightens it by 30 percent.  *RSR’s race version will be manufactured using new advanced materials and ready for delivery in 2016.
